The Croatian Academic and Research Network – CARNet was presented on Tuesday, 15 March 2016 at the Rochester institute of Technology, on a career day under the title “Career Education Day 2016”, organised at the Westin hotel in Zagreb.
CARNet representative Mr Branko Radojević, Deputy CEO for Computer Infrastructure and Services, participated in a panel discussion on the subject “Critical IT trends in 2016”, together with representatives of the DRAP, King ICT, Croz and IBM companies. The panel discussed new technologies coming into use and the method of their implementation and localisation in Croatian circumstances. There was talk of education trends which should keep up with labour market requirements in the technological segment, as well as of the preparedness of our students for attending technical studies at Croatian universities.
CARNet also presented itself to the participants as a company which provides the opportunity of internship and professional practice.
